Frontline Green New Deal + Climate Regenerative Economic Policy Summit
https://vimeo.com/362570645 (4:36 min.)

The People's Orientation was first envisioned in the summer of 2019 in Detroit, Michigan, when 64 organizations came together and identified green lines (what we want), yellow lines (what we’re still questioning), and red lines (what we say no to) for GND policies. This was a tool that was originally shared by People’s Action to workshop in Detroit.

This powerful gathering was put together by Climate Justice Alliance, It Takes Roots, People’s Action, and East Michigan Environmental Action Council to build political power for the frontlines for 2020 and beyond.

Banking on Climate Change

The Indigenous Environmental Network released the following Banking on Climate Change Report, in  partnership with Rainforest Action Network, Banktrack, Sierra Club, Oil Change International, and Honor the Earth. This 10th edition of the  report has greatly expanded in scope. This report totals the lending and underwriting from 33 global banks to 1,800 companies across the fossil fuel industry as a whole.

Banking on Climate Change

People vs. Fossil Fuels in October 2021 at the White House was the largest climate mobilization and civil disobedience action in years, but the struggle continues. Our actions forced the Biden administration to respond to our demands, and highlighted resistance to fossil fuel projects just weeks before the next UN climate summit in Glasgow.

As we appreciate and reflect on a powerful week of actions, let's keep the pressure up on President Biden and his administration. He needs to hear from thousands of us, in every was possible, that climate action can't wait.

  • Send a message to the White House right now and demand that President Biden listen to the indigenous  leaders and water protectors, as they call on the rejection of fossil fuel projects and declare a climate emergency.
