Effective Communication

Introduces basic culturally appropriate communication and creative problem-solving skills. Plus skills to effectively deal with different styles of communication. We work with staff, schools, parent groups, families, tribal leaders, and communities.

Introduces the traditional process of achieving consensus. Includes basic problem-solving  skills and strategies.  And shows a comparison of western vs. traditional indigenous models or processes of peacemaking to promote harmony and unity.

Environmental Justice Advocacy & Education

 
​Facilitators introduce community engagement strategies for raising awareness, developing goals and determining actionable steps for groups, programs or tribal communities to mitigate and adapt to climate impacts. We practice the honorable community engagement model as outlined in the Swinomish Climate Change Initiative - Climate Adaptation Plan and the Asserting Native Resilience book (for more information see the Environmental Justice page).
